flight-aid missions are launched as funds allow us to run a smooth, safe and reliable operation.
Our aim is to serve the people of Africa, especially those who live in remote areas and who do not have access to rapid and dependable humanitarian or medical aid.
flight-aid’s purpose and commitment is to serve the public through reliable air service, so that hope may spread and prevail…
St Luke's AirLink Project
Within its scope flight-aid has decided to offer assistance to St. Luke’s Mission Hospital by conducting mercy flights serving Matabeleland North, in Southwestern Zimbabwe.
 St Luke's Mission Hospital, Lupane
The airlift project shall be implemented by late 2007/early 2008. Mission objective is to supply the St Luke's Mission Hospital with urgently needed medication as well as further time-critical medical and humanitarian provisions out of South Africa. flight-aid's main emphasis thereby is aimed at both, counteracting the spread of HIV/AIDS through its flight-AIDS sub-programme, and at providing additional medical and social support to children in the region (Little Wings).
Operational expenses, directly associated with the flights themselves, shall be absorbed by flight-aid. For the initial 5 mercy flights from Johannesburg (South Africa) to Bulawayo which are planned for 2008, Lufthansa German Airline's aid organisation HelpAlliance has agreed to support the project with a major financial contribution.
